EAT Launchpad Pte. Ltd. takes your privacy very seriously. We ask that you read this privacy policy (the “Policy”) carefully as it contains important information about what to expect when Rescale Lab collects personal information about you and how Rescale Lab will use your personal data.
This Policy applies to information we collect on rescalelab.com and its sub-domains about:
i) visitors to our website (the “Site”); and
ii) people who register their emails with us.

- Thank you for your interest in this Privacy Policy! At, EAT Launchpad Pte. Ltd (“we”, “our” or “us”) we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy when you use our platform and services at www.rescalelab.com and www.rescalers.com.
- In principle, we will only use your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, in particular the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012) (“PDPA”), the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), and only as described in this privacy policy.

- What is Personal Data?
Personal data is any information relating to personal or material circumstances that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. This includes, for example, your name, date of birth, e-mail address, postal address, or telephone number as well as online identifiers such as your IP address. In contrast, information of a general nature that cannot be used to determine your identity is not personal data. This includes, for example, the number of users of a website.
- What is Processing?
Processing means any operation or set of operations which is performed upon personal data, whether or not by automatic means. The term is broad and covers virtually any handling of data.
- Where do we process personal data?
- The Personal Data that we collect may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside Singapore. It may also be processed by staff operating outside Singapore who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your services ordered by you, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting any Personal Data to us, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your Personal Data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
- All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our Platform, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share the password with anyone.
- Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Data transmitted to our Platform; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
- What are the legal bases of processing?
- All personal data that we obtain from you via the platform will only be processed for the purposes described in more detail below. This is done within the framework of the PDPA and GDPR or only with your consent. In particular, data processing is permitted if:

- the data is necessary for the fulfilment of a contract / pre-contractual measures,
- the data is necessary for the fulfilment of a legal obligation, or
- the data is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of our company, provided that your interests are not overridden.
- All personal data that we obtain from you via the platform will only be processed for the purposes described in more detail below. This is done within the framework of the PDPA and GDPR or only with your consent. In particular, data processing is permitted if:
- How long is data processed and stored?
We process and store your personal data only for the period of time required to achieve the respective processing purpose or for as long as any consent you have given us has been revoked by you or for as long as a legal retention period (in particular commercial and tax law) exists. Once the purpose has been achieved or the retention period has expired, the corresponding data is routinely deleted.
Processing of Automatically Collected Data
- Collection of access data and log files
- We also collect data on every access to our platform. The access data includes the name of the website accessed, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider.
- Log file information is stored for security reasons (e.g., for the clarification of abuse or fraud) for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. Data whose further storage is necessary for evidentiary purposes is exempt from deletion until the respective incident is finally clarified. The legal basis for the data processing is our legitimate interest in providing an appealing platform.
- Use of cookies
We use so-called cookies on our web site. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your respective device (PC, smartphone, tablet, etc.) and saved by your browser. For further information please refer to our Cookie Policy. The legal basis for the use of cookies is your consent as well as our legitimate interest.
Data processing when you submit it to our platform and when you use our services
- Contacting us
If you contact us, we process the following data from you for the purpose of processing and handling your request: first name, last name, e-mail address, and, if applicable, other information if you have provided it, and your message. The legal basis for the data processing is our obligation to fulfil the contract and/or to fulfil our pre-contractual obligations and/or our overriding legitimate interest in processing your request.
- User account
If you create a user account, you consent to the storage of your account and log-in data (first name, last name, e-mail address, password). This allows us to identify you as a user and gives you the opportunity to manage your account and to use our services. We will further collect, your Country, Date of Birth and Gender. This This will be used in cofounder matching and sharing tailored articles to you through the AI Advisor. Your data will be processed on the basis of your consent and to fulfil the contract and/or to fulfil our pre-contractual obligations.
- Data you give us when using our services
We may collect and process the following data which may contain information that you provide by filling in forms, including information provided at the time of registering to use our Platform, subscribing to any services provided by us, posting material, reporting a problem with our Platform, or requesting further services; information, data, documents or images that you upload onto our Platform; details of transactions you carry out through our Platform; details of your visits to our Platform, resources that you access and actions you are working on through the Platform; if you contact us, a record of that correspondence; and responses to surveys that we send to you, although you do not have to respond to them. The legal basis for the data processing is the fulfilment of our contractual obligations and your consent.
- Processing of data for system notifications
By using our services, you are giving your consent to receiving system notifications and messages per email. Those typically include administrative information about your account, activity. The legal bases are to provide you with our services and your consent as well as our legitimate interest.
- IP Addresses
We may also collect and process information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our business partners. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns and does not identify any individual.
- How do we use your data?
- The main reason we use your data is to deliver and improve our services. This of course includes the use your data to help keep you safe and to provide you with content that may be of interest to you. in particular to:
- Create and manage your account,
- Provide you with customer support and respond to your requests,
- Complete your transactions,
- Communicate with you about our services,
- To help you connect with other users.
- We also use information held, including Personal Data, in the following manner
- to ensure that content from our Platform is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;

- Duration of data storage
We only store personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed or for as long as any consent you have given us has been revoked by you. Insofar as statutory retention obligations must be observed, the storage period for certain data may be up to 6 years, irrespective of the processing purposes.
- Transfer of personal data
- We will not disclose or otherwise distribute your personal data to third parties unless this:
- is necessary for the performance of our services,
- you have consented to the disclosure,
- or the disclosure of data is permitted by relevant legal provisions.
- However, we are entitled to outsource the processing of your personal data in whole or in part to external service providers acting as processors within the framework of the PDPA and GDPR. External service providers support us, for example, in the technical operation and support of the platform, data management, the provision and performance of services, marketing, as well as the implementation and fulfilment of reporting obligations.
- The service providers commissioned by us however will process your data exclusively in accordance with our instructions and we remain in accordance with the PDPA and the GDPR responsible for the protection of your data. Doing so we always make sure that service providers commissioned by us are carefully selected, follow strict contractual regulations, technical and organisational measures, and additional controls by us.
- We may also disclose Personal Data to third parties if we are legally obliged to do so e.g., by court order or if this is necessary to support criminal or legal investigations or other legal investigations or proceedings at home or abroad or to fulfil our legitimate interests.
- We will not disclose or otherwise distribute your personal data to third parties unless this:
- Automated decision-making
Automated decision-making including profiling does not take place.
- Direct marketing in the context of a customer relationship
Insofar as you have also given us your separate consent to process your data for consulting, marketing and advertising purposes, we are entitled to contact you for these purposes via the communication channels you have given your consent to.

- By providing your Personal Data to us, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your Data by us for the purposes set out in this privacy policy (“Purposes”).
- Where any Personal Data relates to a third party, you represent and warrant that the Personal Data is up-to-date, complete, and accurate and that you have obtained the third party’s prior consent for our collection, use and disclosure of their Personal Data for the Purposes. You agree that you shall promptly provide us with written evidence of such consent upon demand by us.
- Each use of our services by you shall constitute a fresh agreement for us to collect, use and disclose the Personal Data in accordance with this privacy policy.
- You may withdraw your consent and request us to stop using and/or disclosing your Personal Data for any or all of the Purposes by submitting your request to us in writing to us. Should you withdraw your consent to the collection, use or disclosure of your Personal Data, it may impact our ability to proceed with your transactions, agreements or interactions with us. Prior to you exercising your choice to withdraw your consent, we will inform you of the consequences of the withdrawal of your consent. Please note that your withdrawal of consent will not prevent us from exercising our legal rights (including any remedies) or undertaking any steps as we may be entitled to at law.

- the right to restriction of data processing,
- the right to data portability,
- the right to object to data processing,
- the right to revoke any consent you have given, and
- the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

- What about data security?
- We have implemented technical and administrative security measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation, and unauthorised access. All our employees and service providers working for us are bound by the applicable data protection laws.
- Whenever we collect and process personal data, it is encrypted before it is transmitted. This means that your data cannot be misused by third parties. Our security measures are subject to a continuous improvement process and our privacy policy is constantly being revised.
- Nonetheless, databases or data sets that include personal data may be breached inadvertently or through wrongful intrusion. Upon becoming aware of a data breach, we will notify all affected individuals whose personal data may have been compromised, and the notice will be accompanied by a description of action being taken to reconcile any damage as a result of the data breach. Notices will be provided as expeditiously as possible after the breach was discovered.
- Am I Obliged to Provide Data?
The processing of your data is necessary for the conclusion or fulfilment of the contract you have entered into with us. If you do not provide us with this data, we will usually have to refuse to conclude the contract or will no longer be able to perform an existing contract and consequently have to terminate it. However, you are not obliged to give your consent to data processing with regard to data that is not relevant for the fulfilment of the contract or that is not required by law.

- The PDPA and GDPR give you the right to access your Personal Data. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the PDPA and GDPR. Any access request may be subject to a fee of an administrative fee at our rates then in force to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
- We will respond to requests regarding access and correction as soon as reasonably possible. Should we not be able to respond to your request within thirty (30) days after receiving your request, we will inform you in writing within thirty (30) days of the time by which we will be able to respond to your request. If we are unable to provide you with any Personal Data or to make a correction requested by you, we shall generally inform you of the reasons why we are unable to do so (except where we are not required to do so under the PDPA and GDPR).
- If you believe that the information, we hold about you is inaccurate or that we are no longer entitled to use it and want to request its rectification, deletion, or object to its processing, please do so in your account if applicable or by contacting us. For your protection and the protection of all of our users, we may ask you to provide proof of identity before we can answer the above requests.
- Keep in mind, we may reject requests for certain reasons, including if the request is unlawful or if it may infringe on trade secrets or intellectual property or the privacy of another user. Also, we may not be able to accommodate certain requests to object to the processing of personal information, notably where such requests would not allow us to provide our service to you anymore.
- Personal data and children
Our services are restricted to users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not permit users under the age of 18 on our platform and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you suspect that a user is under the age of 18, please contact us.
- Data Intermediary
Where we process your Personal Data as a data intermediary on behalf of a third party, we will process your Personal Data in accordance with the instructions of the third party and shall use it only for the purposes agreed between you and the third party. All such Personal Data will be protected and retained in accordance with this privacy policy and the terms of the PDPA and the GDPR. We will take steps to inform the third party of any requests, complaints, or questions that you may have regarding such Personal Data.
- Accuracy
We endeavour to ensure that all decisions involving your Personal Data are based upon accurate and timely information. However, we rely on you to disclose all relevant information to us and to inform us of any changes in your Personal Data. As such, please disclose all relevant information necessary for us to provide services to you and ensure all information submitted to us is up-to-date, complete, and accurate. Kindly inform us promptly if there are any changes in your Personal Data.
- Links to other services
- Our platform also contains – clearly recognisable – links to the websites of other companies. Insofar as there are links to websites of other providers, we have no influence on their contents. Therefore, no guarantee or liability can be assumed for these contents. The respective provider or operator of the pages is always responsible for the content of these pages.
- The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations and recognisable infringements at the time of linking. Illegal contents were not recognisable at the time of linking. However, permanent monitoring of the content of the linked pages is not reasonable without concrete indications of a legal violation. Such links will be removed immediately if infringements of the law become known.
- Changes and updates to the privacy policy
We kindly ask you to regularly inform yourself about the content of our privacy policy. We will amend the privacy policy as soon as changes to the information processing activities we carry out make this necessary. We will inform you as soon as the changes require an act of cooperation on your part (e.g., consent) or other individual notification.
